Dual Voltage PCI Serial Cards from StarTech.com Ends Frustration

Remapping functionality was previously not available in PCI cards, causing problems for anyone utilizing legacy software that requires specific com ports to be mapped. Equipment using serial connectors are commonly found in manufacturing or POS applications. StarTech.com’s new dual voltage cards allow up to eight serial devices to be connected to any system with a PCI or PCI-X slot. The unique remapping feature of these cards allows the correct com port address to be mapped, ensuring compatibility with new and old equipment or software. This makes these cards ideal for devices that have a serial interface such as modems, printers, CNC machines, kiosks and ISDN terminals.
