The PEX2S1P552B 2S1P PCI Express Serial Parallel Combo Card with Breakout Cable combines the functionality of a Parallel Card and a Serial Card, adding 2 RS232 serial ports and 1 parallel port to a single PCI-Express (PCIe) expansion slot.

A suitable addition to almost any computer, the card offers a low-profile design and includes an optional full height bracket. A single connector delivers individual parallel and serial connections using the included break-out cable, adding a total of 3 ports to your system while avoiding "crowded" connections that can occur with fixed/static connection ports. This RS232 serial adapter card also features compatibility with a broad range of operating systems, including DOS, Windows® 7/ Server 2008 R2/Vista/XP/Server2003/2000/98SE (32 and 64 bit), Linux and Mac OS X 10.4.

The adapter card features a native PCI Express single-chip design, providing improved speed and reliability while reducing the CPU load by as much as 48% over conventional (bridge chip) adapter cards.
