The PUSBADAP 2 port 12V/24V Powered USB Adapter Card acts as the daughter board component to StarTech.com's 3 Port PCI 12V Powered USB Card (PCI312PUSB), adding two Powered USB (USB PlusPower) ports and expanding the number of Powered USB ports provided, for a total of five.

Alternatively, the adapter card can be used as a standalone 2 port Powered USB card without taking up a PCI slot by imply connecting the provided USB header cable to the motherboard, and a standard LP4 power connection from the system power supply.
